Mumbai - Ahmedabad

Overview

Ahmedabad is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati and was founded on February 26, 1411 by Sultan Ahmed Shah to serve as the capital of the Gujarat Sultanate, and was named after him. With the creation of the state of Gujarat in 1960, Ahmedabad gained prominence as commercial capital of the state. The city is witnessing a major construction boom and population increase. A rising centre of education, information technology and scientific industries, Ahmedabad remains the cultural and commercial heart of Gujarat.

Day 1 : Mumbai - Ahmedabad

In the morning transfer to airport to catch your flight to Ahmedabad. On arrival proceed for sightseeing tour of Ahmedabad visiting famous mosques. Return to your pre booked hotel. Overnight stay in Ahemdabad.

Day 2 : Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar

Today after breakfast leave for Bhavnagar (78 kms approximately 2 hours) stopping enroute at Lothal to visit the Archeological Museum. On arrival at Bhavnagar check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Bhavnagar.

Day 3 : Bhavnagar - Gondal

After breakfast we leave for Gondal (220 kms approximately 5 hours) . We will be stopping at Palitana to visit the Jain temple complex built between tenth and fifteenth century. Overnight stay in Gondal.

Day 4 : Gondal - Wankaner

Breakfast at hotel. Later in the day transfer to Wankaner (150 kms approximately 3 hours) . Rest of the is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Wankaner.

Day 5 : Wankaner - Bhuj

Transfer to Bhuj (215 Kms approximately 4 hours) where on arrival you will check in to your hotel. Later in the day sight seeing tour of Bhuj visiting Fergusson Museum and the palace of Rao Pragmalji. Overnight stay in Bhuj.

Day 6 : Bhuj

Breakfast at hotel. Morning sightseeing tour of different villages of Bhuj each having different kind of craft on wool and cotton. Overnight stay in Bhuj.

Day 7 : Bhuj - Dasada

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to Dasada (280kms approximately 6 hours) on arrival check in to your hotel. Overnight stay in Dasada.

Day 8 : Dasada

Today we get up early for morning game drive at the Dasada National Park. Return to your hotel for breakfast. Rest of the day is free for leisure. In the evening we go for second game drive at the Dasada National Park. Overnight stay in Dasada.

Day 9 : Dasada - Ahmedabad

After breakfast at hotel we leave for Ahemdabad. We will be stopping at Patan Patola famous for Sun temple and its silk saris. On arrival at Ahemadabad you will board your flight back to Mumbai.
