Day 1 : Cochin

On arrival, meet, assist and transfer to the hotel in Cochin. A city tucked in the beauty of coconut palms and endless blue waters is one of the important towns in South India, with a natural Harbour. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight in Cochin.

Day 2 : Cochin

Morning after breakfasts, proceed for a half day tour of Cochin City. The major attractions of the city are the Mattancherry Dutch Palace, The Jewish Synagogue, The Santa Cruz Cathedral, The Bolgatty Palace and Willingdon Island. In the evening see the Chinese fishing nets, silhouetted majestically against the sunset. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 3 : Cochin - Munnar

In the morning, after breakfast, drive to Munnar by road (127 Kms/4Hrs), a famous hill station in Kerala known for its tea estates. On arrival check into your hotel. Enjoy the Festival of lights and crackers in the evening. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 4 : Munnar

HIGHLIGHT of Munnar tour : Spectacular beauty of the hill station and visit to the first Catholic Church in the high ranges along with a visit to the Tea factory.

In the morning, after breakfast, proceed to see some spectacular sights in Munnar covering Mount Carmel, the first Catholic Church in the high ranges, tea factory, Mattapetty Lake, cattle breeding centre, Top Station-the topmost point in Munnar. Evening at leisure. Overnight Munnar.

Day 5 : Munnar - Thekkady

HIGHLIGHT of Thekkady : Boat Ride in Lake Periyar and visit to Periyar sanctuary -the best sanctuary in India for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters.

Morning after breakfast, drive to Thekkady (120 Kms/4Hrs). Arrival and check in to the hotel. Rest of the day will be free for enjoying the natural wonders of Thekkady. Later enjoy the boat ride at the Lake Periyar where one can have a unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. The greatest attraction of Periyar, however are the herds of wild elephants that come down to play in the lake. (Subject to sighting). Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 6 : Thekkady

Morning after breakfast visit Periyar sanctuary which is the main attraction of Thekkady and one of the best sanctuaries in India for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters. Later proceed for the hike tour. Overnight in Thekkady.

Day 7 : Thekkady - Kumarakom

In the morning, after breakfast drive to Kumarakom (130kms/4hrs). Kumarakom is Kerala's heartland of lagoons; palm fringed lakes, and paddy fields, inter-linked with hundreds of winding canals. On arrival check in at your hotel. Overnight in Kumarakom.

Kumarakom Information :

The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake in Kerala, a state in India. Geographically, it is located at 9.35 North and 76.26 East. Kumarakom's soil is extremely fertile due to the proximity of the water source, this has resulted in the growth of a wide variety of flora in Kumarakom, especially the mangrove and coconut trees. Vembanad Lake is home to several types of marine life exclusively the 'Karimeen' (Pearl Spotted Fish), the 'Chemeen' (Prawns) and the 'Konju' (Tiger Prawns).

Day 8 : Kumarakom - Alleppey

HIGHLIGHT of the Day : A unique experience of backwater in Kerala where you will witness the scenic beauty of backwaters along with a chance to peep into the rural life especially the Fisher folks.

Today morning transfer to Alleppey. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Later enjoy boat ride at backwater and overnight stay in Alleppey.

Alleppey (Alappuzha) is a District of immense natural beauty in Kerala. Today, Alappuzha has grown in importance as a Backwater Tourist Centre, attracting several thousands of foreign tourists each year .It is also famous for boat races, houseboat holidays, beaches, marine products and coir products.

Day 9 : Alleppey - Mararikulam

HIGHLIGHT of Mararikulam : This small village is a host to numerous soft sand beaches that promises one a holiday that will relieve you from all worries and tensions amidst this beautiful place with vast expanse of land, water and swaying palm trees.

Today, drive to Marrarikulam (16 km), on arrival transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure and overnight stay at the hotel.
