After breakfast start for a half-day sightseeing tour of Cochin visiting The St. Francis Church which is the oldest European church on Indian soil, the next stop will be The synagogue which dates back to the 17th century and has pretty patterned floor tiles that were brought in from China. The Synagogue and Jew Town in Mattancherry is home for the 20 odd Jews who still live in India, mostly old timers, they chose to stay on even after the creation of Israel and the immigration by most of the younger generation of Jews to the Promised Land. Lastly visit the Chinese fishing nets along the waters, huge Chinese fishing nets rest on their cantilevered stands. The technique came from Kubla Khan’s court and till date serves the purpose for fishing fresh water fish in large quantities.

Arrive Periyar & transfer to Hotel. Afternoon Plantation tour, this tour is to introduce you to the numerous varieties of spices that this country is famous for. The guide will give you a good explanation of the native spices, tea and coffee.

Take boat ride in Periyar Lake in the morning to watch the animals, including herds of elephants, bison's and Packs of wild boars that roam through the woods and Parade along the shores of the lake just before sunrise and sunset.

After breakfast, you will leave for a guided tour of Trivandrum. The former name for Kerala's capital city, Trivandrum, may be more easily pronounceable but the present official name, Thiruvanathapuram, is closer to its mythological, origins. The word 'Thri Ananthapuram' means the city of Anatha or the abode of the sacred thousand-headed serpent Anantha, who forms the couch on which reclines Lord Vishnu, the preserver in the Trinity of Hindu gods. You would visit places like Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Government Art Museum, formerly called the Napier Museum, the Sri Chitra Art Gallery and the CVN Kalari (a centre for traditional martial arts).
